A standard domestic powerpoint differs from a caravan, RV, welder, compressor, etc. in the amount of power it can operate at. While a household powerpoint can handle a maximum of 10 amps, a caravan/RV requires up to 15 amps. To ensure safety, a 15-amp caravan lead plug cannot directly connect to a standard 10-amp household powerpoint. The AMP-Fibian Mini adapter solves this issue by allowing for a safe and legal connection of a 15-amp load (such as a caravan) to a 10-amp domestic powerpoint, protecting the power supply from overloading. Additionally, the AMP-Fibian Mini includes an earth leakage device (RCD) safety switch to protect individuals from potential electric shocks caused by faulty wiring or appliances.
